Behind the Gates: Canyon Lake’s Community Patrol

Some of Canyon Lake’s most familiar faces are the ones you pass before you even see the water. POA Community Patrol operates the Main, East and North gates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, welcoming residents and checking in authorized guests. That steady presence helps this private community feel welcoming and cared for.

A big job on the big days

Then comes a holiday weekend. On the Fourth of July, when fireworks bring extra friends and family into town, the same team manages gate access and helps with event traffic. Most of us are thinking about lawn chairs and a spot by the lake; they’re working through guest lists and keeping arrivals moving.

Make room for your guests

Whether a friend is stopping by once or family visits often, GoAccess lets members arrange temporary or annual guest access through its app or website. Prefer to call? The POA also has a 24/7 automated guest call-in line. Taking care of it before your visitors arrive makes a busy day at the gate easier for everyone.

More than the gatehouse

Beyond the entrances, POA Community Patrol checks community amenities and assists with special events. Canyon Lake’s Police Department handles law enforcement—a separate job. We’re grateful for the people doing this steady, often unseen work. They’re part of what makes a day here feel like Canyon Lake.
