Around Canyon Lake · Sports & Outdoor Recreation
Find your way to play.
In Canyon Lake, a game can mean a tennis match by the Lodge, a morning at the ball fields, a ride at the pump track or horseshoes by the water. There’s room for a favorite routine—and plenty to try when you feel like changing it up. This guide brings the community’s recreation spots together by activity.

Courts and fields
Tennis by the Lodge
22210 Canyon Club Drive · Canyon Lake
Six lighted courts put a tennis match close to the water. The POA lists daily hours of 6 AM–10 PM, with recreational play, lessons and programs.
Pickleball at Eastport
24331 Canyon Lake Drive North · Canyon Lake
Eastport’s six lighted pickleball courts have shaded viewing areas, so there’s a place to pause between games. Daily hours are 6 AM–10 PM; courts close for maintenance on the third Wednesday of each month, 11 AM–1 PM.
Basketball at Eastport
24331 Canyon Lake Drive North · Canyon Lake
For a few shots or a full game, Eastport has two lighted, full-size basketball courts. Court hours are 6 AM–10 PM daily, and the park has restrooms.
Eastport allows leashed pet dogs in designated park areas, but pets are not allowed on the sports courts. Service-animal rules are separate.
Baseball at Gault Field
29355 Longhorn Drive · Canyon Lake
Four ball fields cover adult, Little League and T-ball play, with batting cages, shaded seating and restrooms. Reserve through the POA Recreation Department; members may use an unreserved field for short-term play.
Gates unlock at 7 AM. Activities using lights must finish by 9:30 PM, and the facility closes at 10 PM. Other field sports require POA approval.
Wheels, walks and park games
A ride at Vacation Park
29220 Vacation Drive · Canyon Lake

The pump track adds a different kind of ride to the neighborhood, with walking paths, exercise stations and a playground nearby. It is for nonmotorized personal devices.
Before riding, complete the POA waiver and wear a fastened helmet and closed-toe shoes. Riders 12 and under must have an adult with them. Follow posted track hours and check surface conditions.
Volleyball by the water
The POA lists volleyball at Holiday Harbor, Roadrunner, Sierra and Sunset Beach—four good reasons to make a game part of a lake day.
Disc golf, horseshoes and more
Try disc golf at Sierra Park or a round of horseshoes at Holiday Harbor or Roadrunner. Happy Camp also lists a horseshoe pit and cornhole court; campground access and rules apply.
Make room for a walk
Evans Park has a trail for walking or jogging. Outrigger offers pedestrian paths, while Vacation Park pairs paths with outdoor exercise stations. Our Parks & Beaches guide covers their locations, amenities and pet-dog rules.
Horses, golf and water
Time with the horses
29221 Longhorn Drive · Canyon Lake

The Equestrian Center brings boarding, riding arenas, a round pen and designated riding trails into Canyon Lake life. Riding and boarding have specific member requirements; contact the POA before making arrangements.
Residents without horses may walk the grounds and watch the arenas. Stall areas are limited to horse owners and authorized guests.
A round at the Country Club
The 18-hole course offers another way to spend a day outdoors. Our Country Club guide brings together golf, dining and course updates.
Laps at the Lodge

The Lodge’s Junior Olympic-size pool offers lap swimming and seasonal programs. The POA posts its seasonal hours and pool-access requirements.
Out on the lake
Fishing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding and boating are part of the lake’s recreation mix, with dedicated ski and jump areas. Start with current POA activity rules, required registrations and lake-condition updates.
For roped swimming areas and places to enjoy the shore, use our Parks & Beaches guide.
