Eastport: ease into East Bay

At Eastport Park, the ramp opens onto East Bay, where the water is a no-wake area at all times. Think relaxed departures rather than a race off the trailer. The park also has restrooms, picnic areas and courts, so it is a useful place to know even when boating is only part of the day.

Holiday Harbor: start on the Main Lake

Holiday Harbor puts you straight onto the Main Lake. Beside the launch area, the park brings together a playground, picnic space, swimming area and waterfront amphitheater. It is an easy landmark for explaining where your lake day begins—just keep the working ramp clear for the next crew.

One lake, a memorable little connection

East Bay and the Main Lake connect through the boat tunnel beneath the Main Causeway. The ramps are on different parts of the lake, not directly opposite each other at the tunnel. Clearance changes with the water level, so check current conditions rather than assuming a tall boat or tower will fit.

Parking, without the puzzle

Tow vehicle and trailer? Use the striped spaces beside the ramp. During park hours, leave designated trailer spaces for vehicles with trailers. The POA allows a limited after-hours exception for fishing when spaces are available; posted signs and current rules are your guide.

A name worth noticing

Look for the Jess Haxton plaque at the Eastport launch-ramp dock. This devoted fisherman helped build the local Anglers Club. According to Canyon Lake Insider, he even taught fishing clinics at the Lodge pool, and the plaque was dedicated in 2002. A small marker, and a lovely reminder of the neighbors who shaped lake life.

These are private-community launch facilities. Before bringing a boat, check the POA’s current registration and inspection requirements; a guest gate pass alone is not permission to launch. Then get the details sorted and enjoy your lake day.
