If an evening walk or beach visit is part of your routine, October brings a simple change to plan around: Canyon Lake’s parks and beaches close at 8 PM. The seasonal schedule runs from October 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027.

Which hours apply to your plans?

The POA lists daily park and beach hours of 8 AM–8 PM for the fall and winter period. Its Parks page separately states that pickleball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, and Gault Field stay open until 10 PM year-round.

Do not use the park closing time as a blanket schedule for every amenity. Pool hours are separate; consult the pool’s current information before a visit.

Choose the park before planning the outing

The POA’s Parks directory lists individual locations and facilities. Check it when you need a playground, restrooms, a picnic area, or a swimming area, rather than assuming every park has the same features.

For an evening visit, leave time to gather belongings and head out before the posted closing time. If you are bringing guests, arrange their community access in advance; these amenity hours are not an invitation to unrestricted public entry.

Check for changes before heading out

The seasonal hours are a useful starting point. Follow current POA notices and posted site information for temporary closures or other changes. The official Parks page is linked below.
